MEET THE STAFF

Arthur Ellis, President

Arthur Ellis is the founder and president of The Nanny Tax Company. He is widely recognized as a nanny tax expert and has been quoted in The New York Times, Crain's Chicago Business, the Chicago Sun-Times, and Windy City Baby. He has spoken about nanny taxes to Bank One, the Chicago Bar Association, the Tax Subcommittee of the Women's Bar Association of Illinois, Winston & Strawn, Kirkland and Ellis and the Chicago Latin School. Arthur founded the Nanny Tax Company in 1995.

Arthur earned his JD from Boston University, and his MA and BA from the University of Chicago.

Laura Weiland, Director of Client Services

Laura Weiland is the Director of Client Services for The Nanny Tax Company. Since 1990, she has prepared payroll and corporate taxes for small businesses. In addition, she has experience preparing individual tax returns. Her experience also includes a decade in Human Resources and Customer Administration with Xerox Corporation. Laura has been with the Nanny Tax Company since 1999.

Laura earned her MBA from De Paul University and BA from Northern Illinois University.

Judy Connolly, Client Services

Judy Connolly assists with the registration of new clients, works with clients to resolve delinquent notices and manages inquiries from government taxation agencies. Judy brings more than 10 years of experience working with local authorities and also gained valuable customer service experience while working as a Customer Administrator with Xerox Corporation. Judy joined The Nanny Tax Company in 2008.

Judy earned her Masters in Urban Planning & Policy from University of Illinois Chicago and BA from Northern Illinois University.

Abby Ohl, Director of Communication

Abby Ohl oversees all communication for the Nanny Tax Company and ensures that all client communications are easy to understand and free of tax-speak. Before joining the Nanny Tax Company, she worked for the United States General Accounting Office, where she specialized in creating solutions for large government projects. Abby has been with the Nanny Tax Company since 2001.

Abby earned her Master's in Communication from Northwestern University and her BA from James Madison College.
